Weddings by Mike McElhatton
Planning is an important part of wedding photography and the planning begins when we meet for the first time to talk about your wedding. I'll give you some ideas and we'll talk about what you want. It's nice to meet in person but I have arranged weddings entirely by email with people thousands of miles away.
The planning for each wedding continues before the wedding day, with a visit to each location if I have not used it before, and careful consideration of the settings that it offers.
On your wedding day, I will take a combination of naturally posed portraits of the bridal couple, group photos of family and friends,
The art of photography continues after the wedding; I will personally examine all of your shots and professionally process each of your pictures. All images are carefully cropped for maximum artistic effect, some will be converted to black and white, others will be color balanced, and all portraits are touched up to remove blemishes or other distractions. On average, there are two hours of processing for each hour of shooting.
All of my packages include high resolution images on photo CD and the images are yours;
you may reproduce them without copyright restrictions. My packages are very "all inclusive"; you decide in advance what you will want in terms of coverage, album, and additional prints, and it is all included. Unlike many photographers, my business plan is not based on you coming back to me with additional print orders after the wedding - in almost all cases, everything you want is included in the initial package.
One final word about equipment: I use some of the best professional digital equipment available today. And all of it is backed up. To each wedding I bring duplicate cameras, duplicate lenses, and at least 2 of every cable, flash unit or other device that I might use.
I look forward to talking with you about your wedding
